Adoption process

Apply

Submit an adoption application so we can learn more about you and your home. We review every application carefully to make the best possible matches. Once we receive it, we’ll reach out within a few days to discuss next steps.

Submit Adoption Application

Home Visit/interview

We schedule a home visit or phone interview to make sure the dog will be safe and comfortable in your environment. This step helps us answer your questions and confirm the fit for both you and the dog. It’s a friendly conversation — not a test.

Meet and Greet

This is the fun part. You’ll meet the dog in person (usually at the foster home or a neutral location). We want you to spend time together, ask questions, and see if it feels like the right match before moving forward.

Adoption

If everything feels good after the meet and greet, we finalize the adoption! You’ll complete the adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and take your new dog home. We’ll send you home with any medical records and answer any last questions.
